Meet Gabrielle Compton

President, Founder,  Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, dog mom

Hi there! I'm Gabrielle, a dedicated registered mental health counselor intern deeply rooted in the integration of faith and accessible therapy. With a Bachelor's in Psychology from Liberty University and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University, my journey into mental health counseling began after high school during an eye-opening ministry school experience. I am a dedicated member of the American Counseling Association and uphold their ethics and values in my practice.

I firmly believe it is our generation's duty to stand up, echoing the call Jesus made to the church to support the vulnerable. Today, this includes championing the cause of those grappling with mental health issues—an urgent priority in St. Johns County.

My therapeutic approach incorporates faith seamlessly into eclectic practices, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and internal family systems. Viewing present struggles as echoes from past traumas, my mission is to guide you through uncovering, exploring, and reshaping your story.

Therapy, in my philosophy, serves as an unbiased and nonjudgmental space, revealing blind spots and offering a fresh perspective. My experience lies in anxiety and PTSD, utilizing prolonged exposure therapy, CBT, and DBT interventions. Currently pursuing my Gottman level 1 certification, I am dedicated to supporting communication in relationships and interpersonal skills.

In my leisure, you'll find me reading, playing the piano, or playing a game of tennis. Family time holds immense value for me, sharing moments also with my dogs Tesla and Tiramisu, as well as my cat Heaven.

Let's embark on this journey together. Offering person-centered services, I am prepared to step into your shoes and create a space for your unique perspective. Together, we will navigate the path toward healing, self-discovery, and hope.
